Millenium Knickerbocker

N & K

I love this image below! It is absolutely stunning!

I love how unique it is.  And, it’s so sweet, causal, and pretty all at the same time.

The bride, Natalie, and I connected through a past client of mine from the year before.  And, strangely enough, we actually never met until I walked up to the church on the day of her wedding rehearsal.  Always sweet, kind, and caring, I anxiously awaited her wedding day!

Natalie, along with her bridesmaids and man of honor, got ready at her darling home in Crown Point, IN.

Afterwards, Krissy from Krissy V Makeup sent me the sweetest note:  “You were one of the most kind, organized and best event planners that I have ever worked with! I could tell that you had a genuine interest in what was best for Natalie & taking care of her, and that was lovely to see!”

With a long day ahead, the girls – and Bruno –  leisurely drank their mimosas and giggled.  Meanwhile, the vendor team including the fabulous Holly of Lady and the Lens Photography, styled these pretty pictures.

Ceremony

Upon departure time, I made sure to clean up Natalie’s house, grab her some crackers for the ride, and lock up.  We headed down the street to the quaint little church in town called St. Mary’s.

Portraits

Because N & K chose their reception in Chicago at the Millennium Knickerbocker, they needed two separate florists.  One florist for the personal flowers in IN and one for the reception in Chicago.

Isn’t this bouquet beautiful?

Holly and I have had the pleasure of working together on two weddings.  Although that was pure coincidence, we hope to find more weddings together in the future.  She’s always up for a good alley photo!

As I mentioned earlier, this was quite a long day for everyone because of the commute between IN and IL.  The wedding party rode up to Chicago on a shuttle, which dropped them off at the Art Institute Gardens for photos.

While they took photos, my assistant and I worked with the vendors setting up at the Knickerbocker.  Natalie chose shots for the escort cards and table.  With the twine and thick paper, they echoed the formality of the Knickerbocker.

During dinner, the groom’s brother, who stood as his best man, gave such an eloquent and personal toast.

I have to share one of his last lines, which has now become my favorite:

“Marry the one you can’t live without!”

And, I must close with this stunning image of Natalie and Kevin….
