You know when you meet someone new and think:
“Yep, these are my people!”
That’s exactly what happened at my first meeting with Sam and Kathleen. They loved everything we love about weddings – making sure everyone has a good time, sharing beautiful family moments, and ensuring everything looks effortless.
See their incredible sailing engagement photos by Colin Lyons on our insta account here.
Making everything look effortless on a snowy Saturday at the end of April was a breeze with these two! We had already planned to have the weather put a slow down on the timeline, so if you didn’t look out the window you might have just thought it was a warm breezy spring day!
In the next photo, however, you can see what a crazy day it was in the city! We had a lot of wind and those not-so-fun winter elements. Knowing we cannot change the weather, this family was so great! Always smiling. Always laughing. They were always in the moment.
The Mid-America Club sits at the top of the Aon Center became a perfect host for Kathleen and Sam’s celebration. To kick things off (no pun intended), the bride’s father brought her first pair of cowboy boots to accentuate his speech. You’ve gotta love a good visual!
While the best part of the wedding was definitely the fun, party atmosphere that carried on all night, I felt all of the love not just between Kathleen and Sam but from their family and friends as well. It is so fun to watch beautiful family moments unfold on these special days. I took a second to appreciate that I truly love what I do!
