Have you ever been to a winter wedding? They tend to be more rare than, let’s say, a September wedding, one of our most popular months.
When done right, though, a winter time wedding always leaves me feeling warm and cozy.
Let me show you what I mean…
Candles and specialty lighting immediately warm up a space. Honestly, this particular December day was absolutely frigid. However, the ambiance created by a joint effort between the florist and decor company, in addition to the heat inside the barn, had guests forgetting all about the cold.
Upon entering the barn, guests warmed up with some hot apple cider they could take to their seats as a during-ceremony beverage.
It’s chilly here in Chicago today. I could really go for some of this comfort food!
Among other material, winter textures include velvets and fur! Not pictured, Taylor had a lounge area in her reception room with sleek green, velvet chairs.
These fur stoles came in handy as the ladies moved in and out throughout the afternoon.
Is it me, or does gift giving always seem a bit sweeter around the Christmas tree? This couple and their parents were so caring and just really all-around great people. They even put gifts for the vendors under the tree. It was so thoughtful!
Behind the camera, Nicole Morisco worked her magic! Before wrapping up this blog post, I have to share more of my favorite images of the day. Frigid cold or not – the day and images are simply stunning.
Now, check out another recent winter wedding we did. Linked here and here.
A special thank you to the vendors who made Taylor & Ryan’s dream wedding come to life!
